GUADALAJARA + DIARY
I'm a paragraph. Click here to add your own text and edit me. I’m a great place for you to tell a story and let your users know a little more about you.
IGuadalajara is often an overlooked city, but its actually the largest city in the state of Jalisco therefore a growing metropolis with a lot to offer.
A town with severeal shopping malls and exquisite restaurants that keep growing in numbers along with the population.
For shopping: Head to Plaza Andares, an outdoor mall with a wide range of stores, its nice to explore and you have a lot of options on where to grab a bite.
To eat: somewhere in the Punto Sao Paulo area, where you will find nice restaurants lined up one after the other. Or go to our favorites: I latina for dinner and Anita Li next door, for lunch- you won't regret it.
For a day trip on the weekend: the small town of Tlaquepaque. You will find nice colorful streets and amazing traditional mexican food, its a nice breather from the city life.
For a cultural a experience: Hospicio Cabañas and the downtown area.
Hospicio Cabañas is a hospice turned museum where they hold different exhibitions: from amazing installations, to photography, paintings and sculptures. Apart from admiring the architecture and the incredible murals by famous Mexican muralist José Clemente Orozco, you will find international artists showcasing their work as well. This was definitely a must during our visit because we got to see the exhibition "POGO" by contemporary artist Máximo González; which is displayed in some our pictures above- we thought it was absolutely incredible, and if you have the chance to go to Guadalajara, you cannot miss this!
